Reflection
In this course we learned about the basic business and entrepreneurship concepts. Me and my team worked on the business concept of LLOEP: a feedback tool designed to support ALO students and graduates to improve their teaching skills through structured peer feedback. As the “Program Manager” in the team, I focused on structuring the customer journey in all phases, analysing potential ethical risks, while refining the value proposition and stakeholder network. The final concept aimed to create a practical, accessible solution that integrates feedback into the everyday routines of educators. This experience not only deepened my understanding of business fundamentals but also highlighted the importance of aligning design concepts with real market needs, ultimately reinforcing my ambition to merge industrial design with entrepreneurial strategies.
Contribution to Development
It enhanced my understanding of business fundamentals and provided a fresh perspective on structured businesses, roles, and essential aspects like user research, solution design, competition, stakeholders, value propositions, and ethics. My insights, particularly in service design for startups, improved my pitching, value proposition creation, stakeholder structuring, and future scaling planning. Since this was my first exposure to entrepreneurship and business courses, I initially struggled with the terminology and theories. However, my team collaboration was smooth, with each member contributing in their area of interest. This experience gave me a clearer picture of where I want to become as a designer - someone who can connect design, entrepreneurship, and social value.
