Our main aim was to create an escape space from the urban fabric, where the natural element will dominate. Initially we created fragments of uses along the stream, where they are separated according to their use. As for the pedestrian movements along the stream, we designed fragments of routes, which appear in various places. The purpose of these fragments is to entice the walker to follow the path, which introduces him to the stream and then leads him out again. These fragments, in some cases, hover over the stream and in others follow the slope of the stream leading the walker to the stream bed. At the same time in the stream bed we created a route along the entire length of the stream that connects the two opposite banks. Next, our team introduced cyclists to this experience. So, we created cycling paths, which in some cases follow the path of the fragments. Another element of our design was the creation of a central core, where people could gathertogether. On one hand we designed an amphitheater, which follows the isos of the stream and on the other hand a cave library-reading room was designed. The materiality we chose for the path fragments played an important role, since we wanted constructions that would not prevail over the stream. That’s why we chose wooden surfaces, which will be integrated with the plantations in the stream.
